Andy Bowie – Strategic Partnerships Transformation Director

Andy leads a transformation team within Serco’s strategic partnership accounts, which covers contracts with Hertfordshire, Lincolnshire and Peterborough council’s. His responsibilities include transforming the services Serco deliver on behalf of our clients, ensuring we are delivering services utilising leading edge technology, and operational excellence, enabling the most efficient and robust operations to be created.

Andy started has worked in the public sector for the whole of his working life, having started in Wirral Borough Council at the age of just 16. The early part of his career was in Revenues and Benefits progressing through to a benefit assessor and then contracting as part of a back log busting team around the country. His particular skills in being able to articulate the business needs into the IT way of speaking, led to him working for Sx3 (now Northgate). Following the role out of the new iWorld application across the country he then took a role with Serco heading up our revenues and benefits application support teams. He has since progressed within Serco through to Head of application support, Head of E-Services and now Head of transformation.

Andy has successfully led the transformation of a number of services as they have transferred into Serco to deliver, guaranteeing our customers millions of pounds in savings. Andy is currently running a transformation programme for Strategic Partnerships that will result in our teams delivering better services for the councils whilst becoming more cost effective.
